Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.

From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.

But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

This has to be one of my favorite poems. Not necessarily accurate from a biblical eschatology standpoint, but its main thrust is creative, and it's phraseology is so witty. I love it!

Very nice poem, and great photo of the coals, now you make me wish for spring so I can try my hand at capturing the coals of a campfire.

Besides all the skipping winter and cold and all that of course. :)
